32ndSIG/LSP at Scale Model World.

One of my favourite club stands at the IPMS Nationals is the 32nd SIG club. This year, the 32nd SIG and Large Scale Planes officially joined up and unveiled a new logo for the club and LSP forum! A great selection of models put on the table, with x2 1/32nd B-17’s, Do-335, Peter from Airscale had his stunning scratch built 1/24th Tigercat and his highly modified 1/18th Spitfire XIVe, the Edgar Brooks tribute with 8 Spitfires on display, Cameron Ogilvie who is 9 also debuted with his Me-163B diorama and much more..

Onto some photos.

First look at Scale Model World.

It’s that time again where thousands of models & thousands of people all gather for the UK IPMS Scale Model World show, held once a year at the International Centre in Telford.

I was only there for a little while tonight but I could see in the time I was there, that some great stuff was on show and I can’t wait to go back for a proper look! Lots of new kits on display from manufacturers including Airfix, Mach2, Revell, Zoukei Mura and many, many more. LSP/32ndSIG club stand also had a great tribute to the long standing IPMS member and Spitfire expert, Edgar Brooks.

Some of the highlights I saw while walking round included a full resin 1/144th scale 747SP, the new Revell 1/32nd Me-262, Zoukei Mura’s new 1/48th & 1/32nd releases, the USAF & LSP/32ndSIG’s monster displays, Tom Probert’s scratch built 1/32nd scale Shackleton, HpH’s MONSTER 1/48th B-36(!) and the new Airfix 1/48th Meteor & 1/72nd B-17.

It’s going to be a packed weekend to cram in 3 large halls, so much to see and so much to photograph. For anyone who reads this and isn’t going I hope you enjoy the photos! More will be posted over the weekend, and then a final batch midweek.
